New Faces of Green Spring
by Ivy Sinaiko
I’m happy to introduce three new Green Spring employees to you, using mostly their own words. Because of COVID-related restrictions, I’ve not interviewed these folks personally, but I hope to meet and get to know them when our lives get back to normal—or at least closer to normal—which I hope is soon!
Kylie McLatchy

Kylie McLatchy is the new Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for the Fairfax County Farmers Markets. She has a degree in Environmental Science and experience working for the National Park Service and an environmental nonprofit in Washington state. Kylie loves farmers markets and has lived and worked on a farm. She enjoys gardening, animals, and being outside.
Jessica Nassif

Jessica Nassif is now Green Spring’s Farmers Market Coordinator. She is a DC Metro native and has been working in customer service for the past 10 years on ships all over the world and teaching English as a Second Language. Jessica has a degree in nutrition and an interest in holistic living which she enjoys applying to cooking, coaching others, and her new job.
Shawn Miller

Shawn Miller is Green Spring’s new Buildings and Grounds Supervisor. A U.S. Army veteran, he most recently served as a Park Maintenance Supervisor with the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, where he had oversight of Walker Mills Regional Park and facilitated services at 27 other locations throughout Prince Georges County, Maryland. Shawn has been a strong advocate for enhancing the quality of life for park visitors. He envisions building collaborative relationships at Fairfax County Park Authority and looks forward to serving the Fairfax County community.
FROGS welcomes Kylie, Jessica, and Shawn!
