Marianne O’Brien joined FROGS (Friends of Green Spring Gardens) to administer their membership database. She is a retired technology pioneer having programmed in the 60s, taught computer science in the 70s, led (managed and trained) technology support staff in the 80s, developed and evaluated software in the 90s, and ended her career as a consultant and grant director. Now, she volunteers - helping non-profit organizations use technology to further their cause. She uses her problem-solving skills and extensive experience while serving on the board of directors.

Her belief that being surrounded by nature especially trees contributes to a happy life, led her to explore Green Spring Gardens many years ago. Today she makes her home in the Truro forest of Annandale.
