The board of the Friends of Green Spring (FROGS) thanks you for your contribution toward funding the Title 1 School Field Trips at Green Spring Gardens.
Green Spring offers five unique field trips for students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Each trip features three engaging “stations” tailored to each grade level. Group sizes range from as few as 40 to as many as 100 students, with most trips accommodating 60–90 students. Field trips include Green and Growing Gardens, Fantastic Flora and Fauna, Metamorphosis and More, Soil Secrets, and VA Ecosystems.
Schools pay a fee for student participation in these field trips, and FROGS subsidizes this cost for Title 1 schools. In 2025, the Green Spring Youth and Family team, along with trained volunteers, led 83 school field trips—20 of which served Title 1 schools (25%). A total of 4,783 students attended, including 1,384 Title 1 students.
