On behalf of the FROGS Board, I wish each of you a healthy, prosperous, and joyful 2026! As we turn the page to a new year—setting fresh goals and organizing for 2026—we look ahead with excitement to what lies ahead. Both FROGS and Green Spring Gardens anticipate a busy year together.
FROGS is delighted to present the annual Winter Lecture Series, featuring both online and in-person talks. We invite you to join us and discover something new this year. Our Annual Membership Meeting will be held on February 8, 2026, immediately following the winter lecture, "Imperiled and Emboldened Insects," presented by Mike Raupp, also known as “The Bug Guy.” Many Board members will be in attendance, and we look forward to connecting with you in person.
Mark your calendars: Spring Garden Day is set for May 16, 2026, rain or shine! We appreciate your support for last year’s successful sale and are excited for another fantastic event this year. We are currently seeking vendors and sponsors, and it will be “all hands on deck” on sale day. In April, keep an eye out for our Sign Up Genius to volunteer and/or contribute to our popular Bake Sale.
Construction of the new Outdoor Classroom has begun with the deconstruction of the townhouse gardens. The FROGS Board will continue to share progress updates and construction timelines in its monthly board meeting reports.
Witch hazels and snowdrops will begin to bloom in February, followed by beautiful daffodils in March. We hope you’ll visit often to enjoy the changing beauty of the gardens.
Remembering Jeff Zinn
The FROGS Board mourns the loss of one of its beloved members, Jeff Zinn, who passed away on November 30, 2025. Jeff was a devoted Board member and a tireless volunteer at Green Spring Gardens. He will be deeply missed by the Board, the gardening community, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
