Fall Breeze & Autumn Leaves
youth-activity-fall-leaves-summer2024What a fantastic summer we had here at Green Spring Gardens! With so many wonderful kids and engaging activities, our summer was certainly adventurous. We explored our creek system looking for frogs and water bugs while we learned about aquatic habitats. We had treasure hunts and scavenger hunts galore; we looked for fairies in the forest and listened to old folk tales. One of our favorite moments was the wonderful art show where everyone showed off their artistic side. But most of all, we all had fun and made some new friends along the way.

Now fall is in full swing and with it, our exciting school field trips, so the fun doesn’t have to end. We have some great program subjects, including watersheds, pollinators, local fauna and flora, and predators and prey.

Our field trip programs are engaging and allow the kids to have a hands-on learning experience like no other. All of our scripts have been updated for 2024-2025, so there may be something new for those who have already experienced one of our field trips in the past! Spots are still open for November and December, so let your school know to reserve a day.

All of this can be found in Fairfax County Partakes magazine under "Gardening” or call (703) 642-5173 with questions.
